The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) report for the Month of May reveals that Telecom subscribers increased to 204,214,647 from 201,312,035 in April.
MTN continued to maintain the lead, taking 38% market share, followed by Airtel, Glo. Only 9Mobile experienced a decline in mobile and data subscribers.
MTN Mobile subscribers increased by 2.08 per cent, while internet subscribers grew by 0.89 per cent from 76.196M and 61.811M, respectively, in April.
Airtel Mobile subscribers increased by 2.46 per cent, while internet subscribers grew by 2.74 per cent from 56.238M and 57.620M, respectively, in April.
Glo Mobile subscribers increased by 0.15 per cent while internet subscribers grew by 0.01 per cent from 56.140M and 39.899M, respectively, in April.
9Mobile Mobile subscribers decreased by 0.63 per cent, while internet subscribers decreased by 1.21 per cent from 12.737M and 5.444M in April.
